One of my favorite fashion sayings is “Leopard is a neutral”. Since the majority of my wardrobe consists of neutrals (ok, ok, so it’s all black and white…), I love finding ways to spice things up without forsaking my own personal style. As always, a pop of color is a sure bet. However, in my opinion, it’s more fun and unexpected to wear leopard!

Luckily, you can wear leopard with more than just black and white. There is always tan, denim, gray, or even red, blue, or pink! Just keep your other colors simple and keep the other patterns at bay. Keep it simple baby!

As always, my number one fashion rule still applies – don’t overdo it! There’s no need to wear leopard print from head to toe for them to try to show them that you’re queen of the jungle. They’ll know!

Unsurprisingly, my favorite way to wear leopard is on my feet! Luckily for me, my favorite Sam Edelman heels (you can read more about them here) come in leopard print! I also have a cute pair of leopard flats I wear for Target trips and other errands. Since loafers are all the rage right now, I found this cute pair from Sam Edelman at Nordstrom. Actually, there are currently 305 different options for “leopard shoes” at Nordstrom, so here is a link to all of them! Surely you’ll find one that is just your style.

Of course, if you’re going for more of a statement look, you could wear an amazing dress like this one! It’s so light and flirty and perfect for spring, summer, or fall. Plus it can be styled in so many different ways. Maybe add a suit jacket and black or nude pumps for the office. Or strappy sandals for a night out. Gotta love a really versatile dress!

Another great way to wear leopard is super simple. Pair a leopard top with the appropriate pair of pants, and voila! Instant outfit. For example, take this leopard tee shirt from Victoria’s Secret, add a pair of jeans, and out the door you go! Or this tank from J.Crew Factory Outlet and jeans or dress pants and a blazer. Boom. Ready for anything from a big presentation to a hot date! Talk about easy!

Overall, I think leopard is a really great way to spice up your look. Even if you’re intimidated or scared by fashion or change. Plus, how can you not feel fierce while looking like the queen of the jungle?

*Note – No leopards were harmed in the making of this post.

XOXO,
Tiffany
