I have a really large family. On my mom’s side, I am the fourth oldest of 16 grandkids. Needless to say, family events are madness. I remember being at my grandma’s house for Christmas Eve as a little girl. She always had a stocking for each of us grandkids hanging on her mantle. Eventually, the stockings filled the mantle and began spilling onto the wall. Now that we are older (and the fact that when you add in spouses and significant others, our count tops 2 dozen), we use Christmas bags instead of actual stockings. And we usually just line them up on the floor. Each year I try to come up with stocking stuffers that are either cuter or more clever than the year before.

As you know from my post on beauty gifts under $25, staying under budget is really important to me during the holiday season. It is SO easy to go over budget. For stocking stuffers, I like to stay in the “under $2” range. Under $5 for sure. Even just going over $1, multiply it by 25 people, and your costs start increasing quite rapidly! Plus, I feel like once you go over $5 you’re in full on present territory.

In the past, my aunts have put some super cute things in our stockings. Mittens, fuzzy socks, lottery tickets… All amazing choices. Of course I had to get super creative to out-do them! This girl is never second fiddle! 😉

For Your Mistle-Toes – Nail kit and/or nail polish
You could actually go two different directions for this cute little phrase, depending on your budget and your audience. I gave each of my girl cousins a bottle of nail polish and each of the boys got a mini manicure set. The manicure sets were from Dollar Tree and the nail polish I bought on sale. If you have a higher budget, or want a nicer present for the ladies in your life, I’m obsessed with this rose gold manicure set.

Candy Cane Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses – Lipgloss/lipstick/chapstick
I bought these cute little lipgloss minis on Hautelook. They came in sets of 6. I gave a mini lipgloss to each of the girls and each of the boys got a chapstick. These lip toppers from Jouer are so perfect for the holidays and are sure to be showstoppers.

Merry Christmas To All And To All A Movie Night! – Redbox codes
Honestly, this was one of the easiest stocking stuffers I have ever done. First, go to the Redbox website. Next, purchase gift codes. Then, write the code on a card for each person. Boom! You’re done. Not only was this super easy, but it was great for all ages. Plus, husbands, wives, and kids each got their own gift code, so everyone was happy!

Hand Santa-tizer – Hand sanitizer
Last, but not least, we have one of my favorite stocking stuffers I’ve ever come up with. When looking at clever puns and plays on words involving germs and the holidays, it’s surprising how many sound inappropriate out of context. But, when I came up with Hand Santa-tizer, I knew I was on my A-game.

Ultimately, you can’t really go wrong with stocking stuffers – everyone loves presents, and we all know great things come in small packages. Combine tiny presents and clever word-plays, and you’ve got a recipe for holiday cheer. Although, all that really matters for Christmas is spending time with the ones you love.

XOXO,
Tiffany
