As women, we are required to be jacks of all trades – career women, moms, chauffeurs, chefs, partners, lovers, the list goes on. Like Bob Thaves once said about Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, “Sure he was great, but don’t forget that Ginger Rogers did everything he did, …backwards and in high heels.” As in any other trade, we as women have our own tool kits. In order to always be our best, we must have the right tools for the job. And I’m not talking about the pink hardware tool kit or my pink power drill. Here are some of my most favorite must have beauty tools.
Tweezerman Tweezers ($35) – or – Mini ($15)
Every once in a while, you find the greatest things in the most unexpected of places. Such is the story of my beloved Tweezerman Tweezers. My brother is actually the one who introduced me to this little gem. Honestly, I couldn’t believe he had an awesome beauty tool that I had never heard of! At first, I was a little taken aback by the price, but these tweezers are totally worth it. I have both the angled and point tweezers. The angled are by far my favorite. I actually bought a second pair in rose gold. You know I can’t resist anything rose gold.
Dr Brandt Skincare
I really upped my beauty game this year with the introduction of Dr Brandt Skincare. They have the most amazing retinol products and I’ve seen a huge difference in my skin. They are quality products and really work wonders. Like I mentioned in my anti-aging skincare post, I am obsessed with the retinol complex serum, the retinol eye cream, and my newest favorite, the beauty sleep serum complete with black pearls! Fancy!
Microfiber Hair Towel ($30)
My hair takes FOREVER to dry. If I shower at night, my hair will still be wet in the morning. If I shower before work and leave my hair down, my clothes absorb all of the water. Not a good look. Plus, it’s cold. This microfiber hair towel is awesome. When I get out of the shower, I towel dry my hair, wrap it up in this hair towel, and go about my business. My clothes don’t get wet, and my hair doesn’t crease from being pulled back into a bun. Plus, once I take the towel off, my hair is almost dry! One of my must have beauty tools for sure.
Super comfortable robe
While getting ready in the morning (or, I’ll be honest, lounging around on the weekend), I love wearing a super comfortable robe. There’s just something luxurious about wearing something so plush. Regardless of what I have planned for the day, snuggling up in my robe is almost as good as a few extra minutes in bed. Almost.
Lighted Makeup Mirror ($45)
The most important thing I have done to take my beauty game to the next level (outside of sunscreen and skincare, of course!) is using a lighted makeup mirror. I have a full size mirror with 10 bulbs of beauty lighting at my vanity. But I know not everyone is that #extra. So, this little guy is a much more budget and space friendly option. It doesn’t seem like it makes a big deal, but it makes a shockingly huge difference. Not only does beauty lighting make you look ethereal and angelic, but it also helps you blend your makeup smoothly and catch any mistakes you might have missed in lesser lighting options. Lighted makeup mirrors are by far my most beloved of all must have beauty tools.
In conclusion, you don’t need anything special to be the best you. You already are the best you. But let’s face it – having the right tool for the job makes things easier, and toys just make life more fun.

Pretty pics! And I’m all about having some great beauty tools! I just discovered the Elf tweezers. They pick up the tiniest of hairs and for $2, you can’t beat it!
Great post!
