I’m not going to lie. It’s been a while since there was a PMG collection I’ve been excited about. But PMG has me saying OMG with the new Pat McGrath Labs Love Collection.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Love Collection features several brand new products and shades and only a couple of repeats. Which is fantastic. Plus, with the combination of the love theme and rosy shades, this is exactly the collection Pat McGrath Labs needed to debut to transition out of the Divine Rose era and into the future.

As always, this is a long post so I made you a handy little Table of Contents so you can jump straight to the products that tickle your fancy. Or you can read all the way through. I’m not here to tell you what to do.

Collection Overview

What products are in the Pat McGrath Labs Love Collection?

Iconic Infatuation MTHRSHP Eyeshadow Palette
Sublime Seduction MTHRSHP Eyeshadow Palette
Velvet Liaison MTHRSHP Eyeshadow Palette
FetishEYES Longwear Liquid Eye Shadow
SatinAllure Lipstick
LiquiLust Legendary Wear Lipstick
Skin Fetish Divine Blush
Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Blurring Under Eye Powder

I don’t even know where to start with this collection! With three new MTHRSHP palettes, a new line of liquid eyeshadows, and new shades of old favorite products, this is the most impactful PMG collection in a while. If you read nothing else in this post, jump down to the MTHRSHP Velvet Liaison section because HOLY COW! Mother did something with this palette I’ve been hoping for for a very long time and I am so excited to talk about it. The PMG Love Collection launches 1/27/23 on the PMG Website.

Three New MTHRSHP Palettes! – $65

OMG OMG OMG OMG an ALL MATTE PALETTE. I’m low-key (high-key?) freaking out over here. I am a huge fan of Pat McGrath Labs eyeshadows. And I truly believe that few formulas can stand up against PMG in quality, pigmentation, and presentation. However, my biggest complaints are always that the golds are too yellow (and there’s one in every palette) and there are never enough mattes to create the full range of possible looks. So knowing that I can now grab one all-matte palette and take it with me on a trip or something makes me so very happy.

Another super exciting thing about these three MTHRSHP palettes – none of them have that yellow gold I was talking about! These are literally just three different perfect one-and-done palettes. (Meaning you can do several different full eye looks using only one palette.) Which is amazing because these palettes are not cheap. So I LOVE how universal and workable these color stories are. Mother generally does a great job of putting out a lighter and a darker version of her products. Especially with big launches. But I love that this is becoming more and more expected and main stream.

Here is a breakout of all 3 palettes including shades and swatches:

Pat McGrath Labs FetishEYES Longwear Liquid Eye Shadow – $29

The FetishEYES longwear liquid eyeshadow comes in 7 shades and they are $29 each. Made to be crease proof, smudge resistant, creamy, and ultra blendable, these eyeshadows are the new kid on the block for PMG. Not only are they supposed to do all of those afforementioned things, but they’re also said to have a 10+ hour wear time. Hold on while I pick my jaw up off the floor. If these claims are true, this is an absolute eyeshadow game changer. And I am very excited about it.

What shades does the PMG FetishEYES Longwear Liquid Eye Shadow come in?

Divine Champagne – Luminous Golden Champagne with Sparkling Platinum Pearl
Luna Rose – Luminous Rose Gold With Sparkling Platinum Pearl
Bronze Bijoux – Luminous Warm Bronze with Sparkling Gold Pearl
Platinum Bronze – Luminous Cool Bronze with Sparkling Platinum Pearl
Smouldering Seduction – Luminous Sienna Bronze with Sparkling Pink and Gold Pearl
Twilight Platinum – Luminous Pewter with Sparkling Platinum Pearl
Cosmic Chartreuse – Luminous Khaki Green with Sparkling Gold Pearl

I love this shade range. I will be going for Divine Champagne, as I need something a bit lighter with a neutral/cool tone. However, I’m very tempted to try Lunar Rose as well. You know I can’t resist a good pink/rose gold. I will say that true to form, these golds look VERY yellow gold. Which is something all Pat McGrath gold shades tend to do. But man they are all oh so pretty.

PMG SatinAllure Lipstick – $30

Available in three new shades –
Nude Venus (Natural Bare Nude)
In the Flesh (Warm Rosewood)
Crimson Ecstasy (Bright Scarlet Red)

Personally, I don’t really have much to say about the SatinAllure lipstick, as I have not tried them. I like the variation of the two rosy neutrals – one darker, one lighter, and a red. However, the packaging looks like it was leftover from past holiday collections and/or the Bridgerton collab.

PMG LiquiLust Legendary Wear Lipstick – $32

Shades featured in the Love Collection –
Nude Venus (Warm Coral Nude)
Nude Cabaret (Soft Beige Peach)

These liquid lipsticks are from the core LiquiLust collection. They are not limited or new shades. You can read my full review here.

Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Divine Blush – $39

Shades featured in the Love Collection –
Desert Orchid (Bronze Rose with Golden Pearl)
Fleurtatious (Soft Beige Pink Demi-Matte)

These blushes are from the original Divine Blush selection. They are not new or limited shades. I’m also unsure of these two shades being selected to represent this collection. But better than putting Divine Rose in yet another set. With all that being said, I really do love the Divine Blush formula. The packaging is luxe and the product is lovely. Great color payoff. I have several shades. So I just realized I never actually published my full review of this blush when it first launched. However, you can read my full review of the Divine Blush Duos here.

PMG Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Blurring Under Eye Powder – $32

Out of all the Pat McGrath Labs products I’ve tried (and that would be most of them), this would be one of my least favorites. In my opinion, there’s just really nothing special about it. It’s small. And I really love the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder. And since this isn’t new to this collection, I’m not going to take up more of your time on this. But if you want more information, you can read my full review here.

Final Thoughts on the Pat McGrath Labs Love Collection

I am in L-O-V-E love with this Love Collection. I will absolutely be buying the Iconic Infatuation and Velvet Liaison palettes and the liquid eyeshadow in Divine Champagne. Hands down I’m most excited about the all matte palette. Although the one complaint I do have about this collection is the same I have about most PMG collections… Please stop relaunching the same products over and over under different “collections”. If it’s part of the permanent collection, just leave it as is. There’s no need to repackage it and pretend like it’s new. Mother’s new products are ALWAYS stand out impressive and impactful. She doesn’t need to play tricks like this to make the collections feel larger.

What are your thoughts? Tell me in the comments because I’d love to know!

XOXO,
Tiffany
