In 2020 I started keeping track of all of my empty products throughout the year. It was a fun mix of makeup and skincare and wellness items. However, 2021 didn’t do as well in the product diversity. In fact, it was 99% skincare and wellness with a single lipgloss and a couple travel size mascaras. With that being said, I obviously didn’t wear a ton of makeup in 2021. And I didn’t buy many new products either. Not only was my motivation for makeup quite low in the WFH life, but due to understandable issues, brands didn’t launch much either. And I wasn’t particularly excited by most of the products that did launch. However, 2022 is already starting strong. Especially in the skincare game. And you know when it comes to skincare launches, Drunk Elephant is always on the pulse.

What is Drunk Elephant Wonderwild?

On March 15, Drunk Elephant will launch their new Wonderwild Miracle Butter. It is a 2 oz ultra-luxe intensely nourishing salve that costs $38 and will be available at Sephora, Ulta, and the Drunk Elephant website. The new Drunk Elephant Wonderwild Miracle Butter is made to sooth dry, chapped, irritated or compromised skin and supports your skin’s natural healing abilities. Which my heels and lips definitely need right now!

Where can I use DE Wonderwild Miracle Butter?

This nourishing salve is launching at the perfect time with everyone into slugging and extra hydration right now. And since Wonderwild can be applied anywhere including the eye area, lips, heels, and chapped skin, it’s the perfect addition to your morning, evening, or even mid day skin care routine.

Personally, my eyelids are quite crapey and full of fine lines. So I will be adding a touch to my eyes after using the rest of my night time skincare to really lock in that hydration. I also currently use vaseline on my lips before I go to bed, and I’m thrilled I will be able to switch to this clean alternative. According to Drunk Elephant, Wonderwild contains “restorative plant butters (marula, capuaçu, mango and shea) to shield skin from environmental stressors while getting a dose of antioxidant and fatty-acid-rich plant oils (meadowfoam and pumpkin to name a few!) that work to replenish vital lipids, deeply nourishing and strengthening a temporarily compromised skin carrier.” All that AND it’s clean? Yes please!

How do I use Drunk Elephant Miracle Butter?

Drunk Elephant Wonderwild should be the last step in your skincare routine. The salve will work to lock in all of the yummy goodness and hydration of everything under it. Not only that, but you can absolutely use it on its own. It’s great for wind burn cheeks and chapped skin, dry lips, rough elbows and heels, you name it! I won’t know for sure until I try it, but it sounds to me like it’s a lanolin/vaseline replacement for those who want clean products. Which makes me SUPER excited to give it a try. Of course I’ll update this post as soon as I get a chance to give it a go. And don’t forget. A little goes a long way. So even though this product is only 2 oz, it should last you a while!
