One of my favorite things about the holidays is trying new recipes for my friends and family. Since presentation is everything at parties, this Christmas Sangria cocktail recipe is always a hit. It’s a light refreshing cocktail garnished with apples, cranberries, and rosemary. Plus, it includes all of the best flavors of the season! In addition, you can up your hostess game by serving this sangria in champagne flutes. Of course, my mom thinks every drink is appropriately served in a champagne glass. But honestly, I couldn’t agree more!

First of all, I just have to tell you, this recipe is super easy. And when I say “super easy”, I mean ridiculously easy. Basically, you dice an apple and throw it in a pitcher with some cranberries, some wine, a mixer, and a sprig or two of rosemary. Tada! All done.

Now, this is where you can have some fun. You can use Sprite, Ginger Ale, Ginger Beer, or any other like-minded sparkling soda as your mixer. Generally, my go-to has been Diet Sprite. However, lately I am on a big ginger beer kick. There’s something about the spice plus the fizz that I just love. In fact, I found a new one today that has vanilla in it. So good. But, that’s a post for a different day.

Make sure you put some of the drunk cranberries and apples in each glass. Is it a cocktail? Or a snack? Why choose when you can have both? You can also make this recipe kid/preggo/non-drinker friendly by just omitting the wine. Additionally, you could turn this into a really great gift. Just put together a bottle of wine, a bottle of mixer, and the accoutrements and add a bow! Of course, you could even use minis of the aforementioned ingredients and it would be super adorable. Now that’s a cute baby shower/bridal shower/stocking stuffer/thank you gift idea!

Have extra rosemary? My Rosemary Roasted Cashews are the perfect edition to any holiday party. (Recipe here!)

XOXO,
