As you know from my Fenty Beauty Snap Shadows review, Rihanna’s beauty brand is ALL about innovation for 2020. And if there’s one thing I love for summer, it’s cream makeup. Especially cream blush and bronzer. So it’s no surprise that trend setter Rihanna is on it! One of the most exciting makeup launches for Spring 2020 is the just announced Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush. (There’s a cream bronzer too!).

When I first opened the box, I was super disappointed. This cream blush is SO tiny! However, when I compared it to the size of my Honest Cream Blush, the pan size is the same. With the pan size being on the small side, it is nice that the packaging is also small and not bulky just for the sake of making it look larger. Not to mention that the mirror is almost the size of the entire lid. So although it is small, it really makes use of all its parts.

As for the formula, it really is very sheer and blend-able. For example, I have the shade Crush On Cupid. In the package, it’s a crazy bold bright pink. However, on the skin, it’s a really beautiful pink. Although when I first apply it, I always second guess myself and think it might be a bit much. But it fades to a very nice pink flush. Even though you can apply it with your fingertips or a stippling brush, I really love using a BeautyBlender. It blends so naturally and evenly.

Like I said above, I’m a huge fan of cream products for the summer. There’s nothing better than just applying skincare and sunscreen, a swipe of mascara, and a splash of cream blush. It is the perfect way to get that “no makeup makeup” look and showing off your summer glow. Plus, they’re really great multi use products too. Not only can you use them as a cream blush (obviously), but you can also use them as eyeshadows or lipsticks too. And you know I love a great multi-use product!

Overall Ranking (out of 5) –
Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush – 3.5 –
I like the shade range and it is both sheer and blend-able. However, it is kind of expensive for the size.

XOXO,
Tiffany

  1. I feel like Rihanna can do no wrong right now. I’ve never tried her line but I’ve only ever heard good things about it. I’m sure this product will be a hit 🙂

    1. I know! I’ve tried a lot of her stuff. I love her powder bronzer and the highlights are gorgeous. I can’t wait to try these new ones. And SO many shades! The only thing I didn’t like was the liquid eyeliners. Which was sad because they’re so pretty!
