Like most people, I’ve done a lot of self reflection over the past six months. After all, what else are we supposed to do during this stay at home time? To be sure it was inevitable we’d reach the end of the internet and the bottom of the Netflix scroll eventually. Although I’ve loved pouring my heart and soul into this blog for the past three years, I can’t help but feel like I’ve also lost a bit of myself somewhere along the way. (But that could just be the pandemic talking. I think we’re all feeling a bit lost right now.) For those of you who have been with me since the beginning, this blog started as a way to connect with friends and family and share my love of makeup products, share my favorite tips, and to share my story.

But over the past three years, I let the data be my guide. Everyone wants to see new, new, new. Of course my best performing posts are always my reviews of the hottest makeup launches. (Which I absolutely love.) So that’s what I’ve been giving you. The best of the best and the newest of the new. But because of this, I feel like I’ve lost a bit of my storytelling magic. Plus, I absolutely love pouring my heart out to you guys and encouraging body positivity, promoting mental health, and reminding you just how beautiful and amazing you really are. And I haven’t had much room for that lately. So I’m creating this new “safe space”. A place for my thoughts. (My Thursday Thoughts, if you will…)

Each Thursday, I’ll be bringing you my thoughts on anything from the aforementioned body positivity and mental health issues, to pop culture, trends, life, and of course beauty and wellness. Sometimes they’ll be light, other times things might get a bit heavy. These posts won’t be extra polished or built for SEO and Google rankings. They won’t even have photos. Just my thoughts.

I know this is selfish. And you might not even want to read these posts. It may just be me over here in my own little corner in my own little chair. But I need to do this for me. So if you can relate, I hope you enjoy these Thursday Thoughts. If you want to know more about me or my thoughts on something, just ask! I’ll be here every Thursday. But even if no one ever finds these posts, it’s ok. I’ll just be here talking to myself. It’s how I spend most of my day anyway. 😉
