As I’ve transitioned from my 20’s into my early 30’s, and from my early 30’s into my mid 30’s, I’ve become more obsessed with skincare every year. To be sure, I am now the crazy old lady yelling at everyone to just please put on some sunscreen while I grasp for every last way to keep ahold of my youth. Although I’m really great at applying my night time skincare routine (either through enjoyment or guilt, depending on the night), I’m not that great about washing my face. Of course, I do make sure I take my makeup off at night, but it’s with a makeup wipe. Which I know isn’t the best. But it’s the only way it gets done. With that in mind, I’m super excited about the new Drunk Elephant E-Rase Milki Micellar Water.

Why am I so excited about this product? The new Drunk Elephant E-Rase Milki Micellar Water is a ceramide-rich micellar water, formulated to gently remove makeup, dirt, pollution, and bacteria gently from the face. Plus it’s pH balanced to protect your skin. It also contains Vitamin E to help sooth your skin too. According to the Drunk Elephant website, “The unique combination of moisturizing ceramides, plant oils, and vitamin E gives the formula its milkiness.” Of course, like all Drunk Elephant products, it’s free of the Suspicious Six. Although, my favorite thing about this product is that you don’t have to rinse it off! Like I said, I’m terrible about washing my face. In fact, I hate getting my face wet at all. So I love that all you have to do is swipe this on, get rid of all the bad stuff, and you’re done!

The Drunk Elephant sent me this product and I was super excited to give it a try. One thing that truly surprised me about this product is that it has hardly any smell. It’s very lightweight, takes off makeup efficiently, and leaves no residue or smell. In fact, it made my skin feel super soft and clean. Plus, I accidentally got some in my eye (in the video nonetheless) and I didn’t have any redness, oiliness, or uncomfortable sensations at all.
Although I loved the concept and the product itself, one thing kept bugging me. Yes, this product is more environmentally friendly than makeup wipes. But you’re still creating waste with cotton balls or cotton rounds. So I wondered if I could use a Makeup Eraser or microfiber wash cloth with this milky micellar water and take off my makeup with no waste. (Here are the microfiber wash cloths I have from Amazon. I love them and even use them to wash Mila’s face. Plus, they come in 7 colors, including white, black, blue, and hot pink.) If you want to see the new E-Rase in action and find out how each method fared, as well as which was the most effective/efficient, check out my YouTube video and get (un)ready with me!
Speaking of environmentally friendly, the packaging is also recyclable! I really love this new addition of recyclable packaging. In fact, all of Drunk Elephant’s new hair and body care containers are recyclable as well. I hope more brands follow suit. Having so many makeup empties always feels so wasteful. I actually have a big pile of empties that I refuse to throw away because I’m hoping someday someone will create a giant recycling program for all brands like MAC’s Back To MAC program.
I’m a huge fan of Drunk Elephant products. I fully credit the TLC Framboos Serum and Virgin Marula Oil for transforming my skin. So I always get excited for any new additions to the DE family. Although the products are a bit expensive, I’ve found them to be effective and worth it. I also love that you don’t have to use the entire line to get results. And there are multiple products for things like moisturizers and cleansers so you can find one that really works for you. If you want to know more about my Drunk Elephant favorites, you can check out my review here. Plus, I also have a post sharing how many applications are in all 20 of the Drunk Elephant skincare products here! (There are even cute little infographics you can pin to Pinterest to save for later.)

The new Drunk Elephant E-Rase Milki Micellar Water is $28 for 8 fl oz. It is available at the Drunk Elephant website and at Sephora.

Overall Ranking (out of 5) –
Drunk Elephant E-Rase Milky Micellar Water – 4.5 – I love this product. I especially love that I can take my makeup off in bed or while watching TV and not make a mess or have to get up and wash the product off. I love that the packaging is recyclable and it cuts down on makeup wipe waste. However, I could see myself using it with a heavy hand and going through the product quite quickly.
XOXO,
Tiffany

Yes exited! Will you be replacing any of your products with it?
I’m hoping it will replace makeup wipes. I know they’re not great for the environment, but I just hate washing my face! What are your thoughts?
