I have more than a few weaknesses. In fact, I’m far from perfect. But sometimes the stars align and too many of my favorite things just fall into place at once and I just can’t help myself. For example, one of my favorite simple luxuries in life is fresh flowers. Another favorite is the color pink. And then of course there’s makeup. So what do you get when you combine all of the above? The Pat McGrath Divine Rose Mothership VII palette!

The Pat McGrath Divine Rose Palette is available on both the Sephora and Pat McGrath Labs websites. However, it’s a tough one to catch because this beauty is always out of stock. But I have great news for you! Mother is relaunching the Divine Rose Mothership VII palette as part of the new Divine Rose Collection along with the launch of a new Divine Rose II Mothership VIII palette. (You can read more about the new collection here.)

It’s no secret I’m a huge Pat McGrath Labs fan. Honestly, Mother’s formulas are simply the best. (In fact, you can check out my Pat McGrath Brands section to see all of my PMG reviews!) But anyway… When it comes to quality, Pat knows what she’s doing. Of course the Mothership VII Divine Rose palette is no different.

Every time I swatch or apply these colors, the silkiness of the formula blows me away. Honestly, they’re beyond buttery or satiny. And the pan sizes are so large, it would take you a long time to use up all of the shadows. Which is really good, because they’re quite expensive. Another amazing thing about these shadows is that there is hardly any fallout. They blend well and really stay put.

Another quality I look for in a great eyeshadow palette is that it’s “one and done”. I absolutely hate getting a palette with a ton of shades but you can’t even complete looks without bringing in other palettes or eyeshadows. However, that’s not the case with the Divine Rose palette. The color story is a wonderful mix of soft romantic shades ranging from champagne, to dusty rose, to a gorgeous chocolate brown. One of my favorite shades is VR Rose Venus. It’s the most beautiful rose duochrome. And I think Astral Solstice is a stunning champagne sparkle topper. However, you can also create a gorgeous every day look just using Skinshow Nude, Velouria, and Xtreme Mahogany. Although there aren’t any super crazy bold shades, this is an incredibly versatile and stunning rose/nude palette.

For my look I used Velouria in my outer crease, Skinshow Nude, Rose Venus, and Astral Solstice on my lid, and Rose Dusk in my crease with Xtreme Mahogany in my deep crease. I really love how soft and romantic this look is, but with a hint of a sultry smokey eye. Absolutely perfect for any occasion. Plus I paired it with the Pat McGrath Labs Matte Trance Lipstick in Soft Core and Pat McGrath Labs Lust Gloss in Divine Rose (my favorite lipgloss ever.)

Overall Ranking (out of 5) –
Pat McGrath Divine Rose Mothership VII Palette – 4.5 – The shades, formulas, and packaging are all stunning. This palette is absolutely gorgeous in person and super versatile. However, it is really expensive.
XOXO,
Tiffany
