Oh my goodness what a day! First there were announcements from both Pat McGrath Labs and Huda Beauty today (check out my Huda Beauty Mascara announcement here). And now we have another update from Mother herself! Not only is there going to be a Divine Rose II (checkout my full preview here), but there’s also going to be a full Pat McGrath Labs Divine Rose Collection! (As soon as I hear anything about a launch date I’ll update this post. UPDATE – The full collection will launch sometime in June. *According to PMG, the collection will launch May 29, 2020. However, according to the Sephora website, the collection will launch there June 15, 2020.)
Let’s break down the collection, details, and cost. First of all, the full collection includes the OG Mothership VII Divine Rose palette, the new Mothership VIII Divine Rose II palette, MatteTrance lipstick in Soft Core and Christy, PermaGel Ultra Lip Pencil in Buff and Suburbia, LustGloss in Divine Rose, and Peach Perversion, and Limited Edition versions of both palettes with Pink and Rose Gold packaging. Wow, what a lineup!
Although I do want to make note that Mothership VIII Divine Rose II palette and the limited edition packaging palettes are the only new additions to the PMG family in the new Pat McGrath Labs Divine Rose Collection. All other products are past favorites with Divine Rose Collection outer packaging. This isn’t new to PMG. For example, a lot of lipsticks and lip liners in past holiday collections have all been best sellers in new outer packaging.
With that in mind, I do have to say I’m a huge advocate of the Lust Glosses. (You can check out my full review here.) If you haven’t picked up any of these little babies, you should. In fact, Divine Rose is one of my all time favorite Lust Gloss shades. Along with Aphrodisiac. Not only are the glosses beautiful, but the payoff and results are incredible too.
Plus, with the new Pat McGrath Labs Divine Rose Collection, you can even get lip kits that include a Lust Gloss, Lip Pencil, and Matte Trance Lipstick curated in the most perfect Divine Rose combos. And if you really want to go all out, you can even buy eyeshadow palette duos containing both the OG Mothership VII Divine Rose palette and the new Mothership VIII Divine Rose II palette.
Honestly I’m a huge fan of almost all Pat McGrath Labs products. Although I haven’t had a chance to try the lip liners. But her shadows, lipsticks, and glosses are all incredible. Even though they are expensive, they are worth the price. In my opinion. But if you’re in the market to try something new, or just want to add to your collection, I definitely recommend the Divine Rose Lust Gloss and they eyeshadow palettes.
