Shop Marc Jacobs Enamored Lip Lacquer:

There are trend products, and then there are tried and true products. As you can imagine, the trend products come and go. Some get discontinued, some get tossed aside, and some just kind of fizzle out. However, there are other products that last the test of time. The Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer is one of those tried and true products. If you’ve been here before, you know I’m totally obsessed with the Pat McGrath Lust Gloss (full review here). But the Marc Jacobs gloss is a close second. In fact, when it comes to unique trend colors, I might love the Marc Jacobs Enamored Lip Gloss even more. Just look at that hot pink!

Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer is $29 and available in 32 shades. First, let’s talk about the packaging. Of course it’s the classic acrylic and black packaging that I love. Not only that, but it feels super substantial too. Plus I love how clean and classic it is and how you can see the exact shade of gloss through the packaging without any issues.

Now onto the formula. It’s no surprise this lip gloss is so popular. In fact, the formula is so smooth and creamy and luxe. Although it is slightly sticky. But it’s so pigmented and lovely. And it really wears well. Plus once it wears off, it leaves your lips feeling smooth and hydrated and not dry or sticky. Which is awesome. It also has kind of a minty taste and smell. Not the kind of minty like an icky plumping formula. But rather a fresh cooling feeling. Of course Mila is a big fan of this lip gloss too. But she loves all lip glosses.

As you can see in the swatches above, all of the shades are super pigmented. Even the shimmer shades. Pink Steam (lavender top swatch) is my absolute favorite purple gloss. It has an almost “shade shifting” effect to turn more pink or purple depending on what you wear. Plus since it has a blue undertone, it can help your teeth look whiter too. (I’m wearing it in the photos in this post.) Another favorite shade is Some Girls (peach 2nd swatch from the bottom). It’s the perfect coral for summer. The other two swatches are Cherry Moon (pink) and Sugar Sugar (nude). I really love the shade range and that they come in both shimmer and shine finishes.

Overall, I’m a big fan of these glosses. And since lip gloss is one of my favorite makeup products, you know I’m super picky about what I like. I like the packaging, formula, and most of the shades. Although I do think there are some shades missing in the range. But I love that they carry unique shades like purple and coral. And you know I love a great hot pink! I also love that you can get these glosses in minis. Although you can’t buy them as minis alone, you can get them in gift sets. Which means you get to try other awesome products as well! This Glow Maintenance set is my favorite. It comes with a mauve gloss, bronzer, gel highlighter, and mascara. I’m a big fan of the Marc Jacobs mascara. But that’s another post.

Overall ranking (out of 5) –
Marc Jacobs Enamored Lip Lacquer – 4.5 –
The glosses are a bit expensive and I think there are some holes in the shade range. But overall, it’s a really great gloss.

    1. Both would look gorgeous on you! Pats glosses are a little less sticky. And you know they’re my #1 but these are less sparkly and more “trendy”.
