My family loves any excuse to celebrate. Not only do we love the biggies like Christmas and Easter, but we also love all of the little holidays like Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, and even May Day. In fact, Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. Each year, my mom would give us a cute little Valentine’s Day themed gift to remind us how loved we were (are). In honor of one of my favorite childhood traditions, I want to share some super easy Valentine’s Day gifts under $25.

When I say “super easy”, I mean “super easy”. All of these easy Valentine’s Day gifts are from either Target or Amazon. That means you’re sure to find the perfect gift for your loved one – even if you wait until the last minute!

For The Kids

First, let’s start with some easy Valentine’s Day gifts for the littles. After all, that’s where this whole tradition started! One of my favorite gifts for kids is books. And there are some absolutely adorable Valentine’s Day books for kids out there. Not only are there new books like Peppa Pig, but there are also classics from our childhoods like the Berenstain Bears, Junie B Jones, Little Critter, and The Hungry Hungry Caterpillar.

Stuffed animals and clothes are always great gifts for kids. Really anything soft and fluffy and adorable is perfect. Although I learned a long time ago to never give a little kid (that isn’t your own) a toy that makes noise. Urban legend has it that when you have kids of your own, the toys come back to you louder and noisier. However, I just had to include the twerking llama toy. Simply because that’s so random and something I never could have imagined I’d ever see or include in a blog post.

Things To Do

I love gifts that are also activities. Some of my favorites are question books and games. They are great conversation starters and a fun way to get to know your loved ones better. Another fun way to spend time together is baking cookies. Not only is baking a great way to work together, but then you can give the cookies away as gifts! Of course I had to include my favorite One Line A Day journal so you can jot down all of your favorite memories you’ve made with your love.

For her

Although gifts for her can get expensive, they don’t have to! There are so many easy Valentine’s Day gifts for her that are under $25. Everyone is obsessing over these adorable heart shaped sunglasses right now. And I love dainty jewelry like this heart necklace and these star ear crawlers. Since it’s still super cold outside, slippers and cozy socks are great gifts too. Of course there’s always chocolate.

For him

Just like with gifts for her, gifts for him can get super expensive. However, I think you can do no wrong when you stick to the essentials. First, I have to include a heart tie. My dad always wears themed ties for big occasions, so it’s just natural to include one. He also wears Hawaiian shirts for any occasion, but that’s a different post. Whiskey stones are a great gift for the whiskey lover in your life. And I had to include a hot sauce set, which is basically the male version of a box of chocolate.

For the puppies

Of course I can’t leave out our furry friends! Since our little fur babies give us unconditional love every day of the year, they deserve to be celebrated too. Mila loves these little toys that have smaller squeaky toys inside them. She pulls out the little chipmunks and tosses them around the room. She’s also a huge fan of the Playology toys. And that’s saying a lot because she has very discerning tastes. I have no idea where she got that from…

Of course not everything is about presents. My dad always made us heart shaped pancakes dyed pink with food coloring for breakfast, and pink milk with strawberry syrup. No matter how you decide to celebrate Valentine’s Day – whether it’s with heart shaped foods, pink drinks, or little presents – the most important thing is spending time with the ones you love. Even if that means snuggling up all by yourself with a cozy blanket, bottle of wine, box of chocolates, and a new Netflix show. Self care isn’t selfish and you are always worthy of love.

XOXO,
Tiffany
