I’m so excited to be starting 2020 with so many amazing new products and opportunities and oh so much optimism. Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m just getting different vibes from 2020 than I did from 2019. I went into 2019 with a lot of baggage and negativity. Honestly, I feel like Jasmine singing “A Whole New World” as we hit the ground running in this new decade. Plus, to have the opportunity to start the year by reviewing a brand new product that launches today is super exciting. A couple of weeks ago, the Influenster team gifted me the new Peter Thomas Roth Vital-E Microbiome Age Defense Cream and Eye Cream to test review and I’m excited to tell you all about it.

Not only is the new Peter Thomas Roth Vital-E Microbiome Age Defense Cream and Eye Cream packaging the most gorgeous shade of rose pink, but the products themselves are amazing too. Focusing on anti aging, anti polluting, and repairing, these products are sure to start your new year on the right foot. Plus, they have Gamma E Antioxidant Technology which “uses unparalleled antioxidative power to help improve and prevent the look of dullness, elasticity, and fine lines and wrinkles from environmental damage.” (Quote from the description on the Sephora website.)

Of course, one of my favorite things about these new products is that they are anti-blue light. Since I’m on my phone and/or computer almost all day, I’m a big fan of blue light blocking products and glasses. I definitely notice a difference in my eyes when I wear my blue light glasses. So I can only imagine what my skin is going through. Although I’m so good at wearing sunglasses and sunscreen, we have more bad things to block now than ever. Now if only I could find skincare that can block negative people and bad energy too.

Now onto my thoughts about the products themselves. Honestly, I love them. Although I originally thought they were night products (I’m not sure why – maybe because I use most of my skincare at night?), they are meant to be worn during the day. I really love them under makeup. After completing my eye makeup, I use the Vital-E Cream and Eye Cream, then layer on my sunscreen, and follow that with the rest of my makeup. Additionally, these products have the coolest texture. They’re a solid but melt into a nice lotion-y texture as you rub them in. Plus I haven’t had any issues with melting, flashback, or any other negative reactions.

Overall, I love both the Peter Thomas Roth Vital-E Microbiome Age Defense Cream and Eye Cream. I’m a big proponent of anything repairing and anti aging. Unsurprisingly, adding in the benefits of anti-pollution and anti-blue light means I’m all in on this one! I’m ready to start this new year with great skin and great skincare benefits.
