Throughout most of the year, I try to think about the future and not about the past. However, there are two times of the year that make me feel very reflective. First is my birthday. Second is the end of the year. At the end of each year I like to look back on my goals, successes, surprises, challenges, and special moments of the past twelve months. This year, I started thinking about all of the different products I tried in 2019 and wanted to compare my thoughts to those of the rest of the population by seeing which of my favorites could be found on the Sephora Best Sellers page.
Ultimately, I was able to create a complete face of makeup using products I already own that are also on the Sephora Best Seller list! Although some are minis, that doesn’t take away from the quality, wear, or my love for them. In this post, I’m going to share which products I chose to use and what I love about them.
First, let’s start with eyes. Of course I always begin my makeup routine with my eye makeup, because it’s easier to fix mistakes if you don’t already have foundation on. For this look, I used the Huda Beauty New Nude eyeshadow palette. Then I topped it off with the Stila Glitter & Glow liquid eyeshadow in Pearlina for a little extra sparkle. Unsurprisingly, Huda Beauty actually has four different palettes on the Sephora Best Sellers list. Rightfully so, as the formulas, pigmentation, and color stories are amazing. Next, I used the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner and coated my lashes with both the Marc Jacobs mascara and Too Faced Damn Girl mascara. Finally, I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel to lock my brows in place. (Actually I do my brows after the rest of my makeup is complete, but it just made sense to put the products here.)
Although I use a ton of different eye makeup all the time, I almost always wear the same face makeup products. Actually, every product on this face best sellers section is one of my absolute go-to products. Sometimes I switch between this Charlotte Tilbury foundation, Pat McGrath foundation, and MAC Cosmetics foundation. But the rest of these products I wear absolutely every day.
Unsurprisingly, my two favorite lip best sellers are the Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain and Pat McGrath Lust Gloss. I own at least a half dozen shades of the Sephora Collection liquid lip – which is an incredibly small number, considering it comes in 95 shades), and you can read more about my Pat McGrath Lust Gloss obsession here.
Of course, there are TONS of other amazing products on the Sephora Best Sellers List. However, I can only wear so much makeup at once. So here is a carousel of some more of my favorite best sellers. The Makeup Eraser is a wonderful way to reduce makeup wipe waste, and the Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner comes in the most amazing colors. It’s perfect to create one of my favorite holiday makeup trends.
