I do not enjoy winter. Ok, yeah, I love Christmas. But that’s about it. It gets dark too early, the weather is sketchy, and I absolutely hate being cold. During the summer, I’m always happy to wear tons of different dresses and outfits and ALL of the cute shoes. Whereas during the winter, I find myself clinging to the same staples over and over while trying to stay happy and comfortable. With that in mind, I have a handful of winter must haves that get me through these trying times.

Winter Must Haves Coat And Hat in the Snow

First, I have to talk about skincare. Since this is primarily a beauty blog, you know I have to start with something close to my heart. During the winter, I’m focused on one thing when it comes to my skin – hydration. As you know, it’s super important to always keep your skin hydrated and healthy. Some of my favorite winter must haves to keep my skin hydrated are a great moisturizer, hyaluronic acid, facial oils, and a facial steamer. Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask is one of my all time favorite moisturizers. Even though it’s a heavier product, it’s clean and never makes my skin break out. (You can read my full review here.) I’m also a big fan of the Good Molecules Hyaluronic Acid Serum and Drunk Elephant, Herbivore, and Good Molecules facial oils. And my facial steamer is from Amazon.

Winter Must Haves - Self Tanner - Self Tan - St Tropez Express Bronzing Mousse

Another thing that makes me feel warm and healthy during the winter is a great tan. Of course I’m not talking bout the kind from the real sun. Or even the kind from the fake sun / tanning bed. But rather the kind that comes from a bottle. In addition to making me feel more confident, a fake tan actually makes me feel better mentally in the winter too. In fact, it even puts me in a Pina Colada kinda mentality. Presently, St. Tropez Express Bronzing Mousse is my go-to. In addition to having a guide color so you don’t miss any spots, this product only takes 3 hours to get that deep dark tropic tan. Although I’ve also heard amazing things about Isle of Paradise and Loving Tan as well. But before you tan, don’t forget to use a body scrub. My current favorite brand is Frank Body.

Last but not least, let’s talk clothes. During the winter, my uniform is a tunic dress or sweater, leggings, and Uggs. I know lots of people have very strong feelings about Uggs, but I am solidly in the Ugg fan club. Honestly, the first time my mom told me I needed a pair for college, I thought they were totally dumb and ugly and I didn’t even want to try them on. Fast forward to me asking to wear them out of the store. They are so warm and comfortable. Of course I have a black pair for the more serious winter weather, but I just had to have these cute pink ones. Seriously, how cute is that little bow?

Another of my winter must haves to stay warm is a great robe. Although you can get less expensive robes, I’m a big fan of my Ugg robe. (Yes, another Ugg product. They’re really that good.) It’s just so warm and cozy and yet very dense and substantial as well. This year Victoria’s Secret has some incredibly soft and adorable options too. I don’t think you can go wrong with any options. Life is just better in a robe.

XOXO,
Tiffany
