I don’t know about you, but for me, the holiday season is absolute madness. Not only do we have Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, but both my mom and dad’s birthdays too. Plus my mom’s family celebrates Christmas before the holiday so everyone can attend. Add in friend and work get togethers and my social calendar is practically booked from Halloween to mid January! Lately I’ve been looking for some beauty shortcuts that not only make my life easier, but are quick, easy, and get me out the door (close to) on time. Here are few of my favorites that will help make the holidays easier while keeping you looking glam and gorgeous.

First up, I have to share my latest obsession – nail polish strips. I love having pretty nails. However, gel manis mess up my nails, dip manis are incredible but expensive, and regular nail polish never lasts more than a couple of days. So when I found these nail polish strips, I was intrigued. Although I’ve tried multiple brands, Incoco is by far my favorite. Especially the glitter shades like Love Potion, Eye Candy, and my favorite – Break The Ice. Because these shades are clear at the base, they hide both mistakes and nail growth. These strips are so easy to apply, have zero dry time and last like two weeks. And they look so natural. They are a fun and simple way to spice up your holiday looks without a trip to the salon or any extra dry time. Cause ain’t nobody got time for that.

Another great way to make the holidays easier is by staying hydrated. Although I constantly drink water (and even carry a water bottle absolutely everywhere with me), I never fully feel hydrated. Enter Liquid IV Hydration Packets. These little packets are full of electrolytes and other stuff to increase the hydration impact of your water. Plus, with flavors like Lemon-Lime, Passionfruit, and Acai Berry, they’re just plain yummy. Although you can drink one any time of the day, I prefer to drink one before bed. That way I can hydrate while I beauty sleep.

Speaking of beauty sleep, another way to make the holidays easier is with an amazing pillowcase. First, let’s talk silk. I’m a big fan of silk pillowcases (and so is Mila). Especially considering they can help prevent hair damage and wrinkles. Not only do they help your hair and skin, but they just feel elegant and fancy. However, on nights when I wash my hair before bed and go to sleep without drying it, I like using my Silvon pillowcase (*gifted). It is woven with pure silver (which is antibacterial) to help stop breakouts and bad bacteria. But no matter where you lay your head at night, just make sure you get plenty of beauty sleep to keep your health and energy going all season long.

Another easy way to keep you looking glam and gorgeous during the holiday craziness is by taking your makeup off at night. I know, I know. Sometimes this is a mountain of a task. However, Makeup Erasers are here to help you out. Makeup Erasers are microfiber cloths that take your makeup off using only warm water. Honestly, I think they might be part magic. Plus they come in a ton of fun different colors and patterns, they are washable, and help keep makeup wipes out of landfills.

Of course, I can’t have a post about things that make the holidays easier without mentioning two of my absolute must have products – my Madison Braids braided headband and my Birdies shoes. You can read more about my braided headband here and more about my Birdies shoes here. I know I talk about them a lot, but that’s just because they’re that good. My braided headband looks so real, it sparked a 30 minute conversation on Thanksgiving and even my grandpa got in on the fun. And my Birdies shoes are so comfortable, you’ll be able to shop until you drop or party until dawn. Whichever is more your style.

Although the holidays can get a bit crazy, don’t forget to take a few minutes for yourself. Your health is important. Both mental and physical. I know it can be hard to find time to get enough sleep, but it is of the utmost importance. You have to relax and recharge. Just like they say on an airplane, put the oxygen mask on yourself before assisting others. You can’t help other people if you don’t take care of yourself first. Self care isn’t selfish.

XOXO,
Tiffany

*Thank you to the Silvon and Madison Braids teams for sending me their products to try. Although they were gifts, all thoughts, opinions, and experiences are my own.

    1. Yes! Look at you! Silk pillowcases are the best. I’m so proud! The makeup erasers are so fun and come in SO many different colors too.
