I love Christmas. There’s just something about the holiday season that makes the air feel extra electric. Honestly, it’s probably all of the glitter. But one of my favorite things about the holiday season is the launch of all of the holiday beauty products. Not just the new product launches though. I get extra giddy over holiday mini sets. Somewhere between “new”, “mini”, and gift set pricing, I just get swept away.
Now I have to be real with you – I’m super picky about what I consider a “good deal”. Generally, I want products to be of good quality, good size, good price, and usable. It doesn’t do anyone any good to buy a gift set full of random weird shades or terrible products. So to bring you the best of the best, I did a ton of research. (The things I do for you all. Ha!)
Sephora Favorites Holiday Mini Ornaments
I am a big fan of the Sephora Favorites curated collections. So when I discovered the new Holiday Mini Ornament sets, I was totally awestruck. Each ornament costs $15, contains three mini beauty products, and is themed – Eyes, Lips, Face, and Lashes. Of course I had to get the Starry Eyed Ornament and Party Popping Lip Ornament. Not only do they contain mini versions of some of Sephora’s best sellers, each product is perfectly suited to enhance your holiday glam.
I already mentioned my love for metallic eyeshadow pots a few posts ago, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw an ENTIRE mini set of these little babies. Although the Tarte Chrome For The Holidays Set ($24) jars may be quite small, there are a lot of applications in each one. A little bit of pigment goes a long way. And I really love the color story in this set.
This year, Fenty Beauty launched two new holiday mini sets – Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Set ($42) and Bomb Baby 2 Mini Lip Gloss and Highlighter Set ($24). The Glossy Posse set includes 5 mini gloss bomb lip glosses, including four new shades and the original shade Fu$$y. Although that’s an awesome set, I was drawn to the Bomb Baby 2 set. This set includes a mini Killawatt Highlighter in Sand Castle (which can be found in the Killawat Foil Freestyle Highlighter Duo of Sand Castle/Mint’d Mojito) and a mini gloss bomb in the new shade Sweet Mouth. Honestly, I love the size of these mini glosses and highlighter. They’re so easy to toss in your bag for touch ups. Plus, Fenty’s highlighters are super shiny and sparkly and make awesome eyeshadows, so that’s basically a two-for-one product!
Last but not least in my holiday mini favorites, we have KKW Beauty’s Holiday mini sets. This year, KKW launched two Ulta Exclusive sets, making exploring the KKW Beauty line even easier than ever. Of course you already know I’m a huge fan of great packaging. I love the clean, translucent packaging of these minis. The Holiday 2019 Lipstick & Gloss Trio ($39) contains two lipsticks and one lip gloss in the shades 90’s Style, Nude 3, and Rose Gold. However, my favorite is the Holiday 2019 Lipstick & Highlighter Duo ($29) containing a lipstick in the new shade Enchanting and a highlighter in the shade Tempting. Honestly, the Enchanting lipstick is gorgeous and I find myself reaching for it all the time.
