As I predicted in my Morphe x Jeffree Star Collection Review, this winter is shaping up to be more colorful than most. First, the Holiday makeup sneak peeks I’ve seen are super glittery and colorful. But we can’t forget the clothes too! Animal print and bold colors are everywhere. Usually, store shelves start turning a bit black, white, and shades of gray about now. Not this year! I’m even seeing less black in my own wardrobe. I know! Hard to imagine, right? However, I’m all for the refresh, and especially all in with so many great ways to wear green this fall.

As you know from my Monthly Trend Report, Forest Green is my Color Of The Month for October. (And if you don’t know, you should totally go sign up for the Trend Report right now.) Honestly, I’ve had my eye on Forest Green for a while. Sometimes there are these weird times in-between trends when you don’t really know what’s going to end up rising to the top. However, I’m super excited that Forest Green is being featured so prominently this season. Even though it’s not a typical “fall” hue, it’s perfect for any fall occasion. From pumpkin picking to plaid skirts, everyone else will be green with envy.

Overall there are so many different ways to wear green. For the sake of organization, I’ve broken this post down into three categories – Makeup, Accessories, and Clothes. Since there are SO many amazing different ways to wear green in each category, I’m doing something a bit different for today’s post. Instead of having a single carousel at the bottom, I thought it would be fun to create a carousel of all of my favorite things for each category. (Unfortunately, I can’t change the color of the product in the thumbnail in my carousels. So you’ll just have to trust me that they come in an amazing shade of green.) What are we waiting for? Let’s get started!

Makeup

Of course one of my favorite ways to wear green is with makeup. Honestly, in the past I’ve shied away from emerald hues, as I thought it might make me look sick or “wicked witchy”. However, Ciate’s Marbled Metals Eyeshadow in the shade “Twisted” totally changed my mind. Honestly, the sparkle in this eyeshadow is so intense and insane. Pictures do not do it justice. Stila’s Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Vivid Jade is another great green option. If you’re not quite up to a full on green glam, Urban Decay and Sephora Collection both have fantastic green eyeliners.

Accessories

Next up – Accessories. Honestly, using accessories to spice up your wardrobe is the easiest and most versatile way to wear green. Some of my favorites are handbags, headbands, and nail polish. I searched high and low for the exact shade of Forest Green nail polish I was looking for. Essie’s Off Tropic was a perfect match. Another favorite way to wear green is with a great handbag. I have this handbag from Target in black and it’s even more perfect in green. Ultimately it’s the perfect handbag. It’s crossbody and zips closed and holds SO MUCH STUFF. Finally, I love mixing things up with a great headband. Plus they’re so on trend right now.

Clothes

Last but not least, our final way to wear green today is in your clothing. Ultimately I find Forest Green to be flattering for most skin tones. My dress in this picture is from Lulu*s. I can’t put it in my carousel but you can find it here. They have a ton of other beautiful green options too. However, Target, Express, and Nordstrom have some great pieces as well. From jammies to sequin holiday dresses, you’re sure to find something you love. I even included a Forest Green shirt from Target for the boys out there!

What are your thoughts on the Forest Green trend? What is your favorite color for fall? Let me know in the comments below!

XOXO,
Tiffany
