Have you ever stumbled onto something amazing by accident? For example, you’re walking around the grocery store and you find that one thing that’s going to solve the craving you’ve been having for a week. Or maybe you’re in a bar (you didn’t even want to go to) with some friends and the crowd parts and you see a total cutie looking your way. In fact, that’s exactly how my obsession with Drunk Elephant skincare began. Without the cutie in a bar, of course. That would be weird.

Although I’ve worn sunscreen and moisturizer every day for the past several years, and I try my best to take my makeup off every night, I still have skincare concerns. Primarily, involving my eyes. Mostly dark circles and crepey skin. Of course, almost every expert I’ve asked has said the same thing: “It’s genetic. Good luck with that.” However, their negativity will never stop my search!

So, when I discovered Drunk Elephant’s C Tango eye cream, I had no idea it would change the way I look at skincare. Ordinarily, I would not have looked twice at a brand like Drunk Elephant. The packaging has crazy neon colors, and their name is just silly. Plus I don’t really understand the names of some of the products either. But OH MY GOODNESS do these products WORK! Plus, I really love the way the pumps pop up out of the packaging. I don’t know why. I just do. It’s so much fun. I can’t help myself.

Not only do I love the C Tango eye cream, but I’m completely obsessed with both the T.L.C. Framboos Night Serum and the Marula Face Oil too. The T.L.C. Framboos Night Serum makes my skin so smooth and soft that my face feels completely refreshed every morning. Generally, I tend to stay away from oily makeup and skincare products, but the Marula Face Oil is so good. Who would have thought putting oil on your skin could be so luxurious and amazing? Honestly, I thought I’d wake up looking so greasy and gross. Instead, my skin feels better than ever! (You can read more about my face oil journey here.)

Recently, Drunk Elephant gifted me some additional goodies from their amazing skincare line that I have never tried before – Lala Retro Moisturizer, B-Hydra Serum, A-Passioni Retinol, Slaai Makeup Remover, and Lippe Balm. I use the B-Hydra serum in the morning to refresh my skin and have added the Lala Retro into my nightly routine for a big dose of moisture before bed. Now I switch off every other night between the T.L.C. Framboos and A-Passioni retinol to keep my skin smooth and keep up that youthful glow.

Overall, I’ve loved every Drunk Elephant skincare product I’ve tried. I also love that they come in mini sizes for travel. Or if you’re not ready to commit to the full prices. Although, I always end up just buying the full size because it’s a better value. Plus, all Drunk Elephant skincare products are considered “clean” and free of the “suspicious 6”. And according to the Drunk Elephant website, “Our entire product line is safe for pregnant or nursing women to use, with the exception of A-Passioni and Babyfacial. However, always check with your doctor before using any new products while pregnant or nursing.” Good news for all of the mamas out there!
