As a beauty lover and a trend forecaster, I am always searching for the “next big thing”. Of course right now there’s nothing making a bigger splash than collagen. There are pills and powders and creams, oh my! So when I came across the new Vital Proteins Collagen Water, I knew I had to try it out.

I’ve been drinking Vital Proteins collagen powders for years. Even when I travel I bring individual packets with me. Although when I’m at home, I portion the bulk powder into individual ziplock baggies. However, now that I’ve discovered Vital Proteins Collagen Water, that’s all a thing of the past.

Vital Proteins Collagen Water comes in three flavors – Blueberry Mint, Strawberry Lemon, and Original. Of course all 3 flavors contain no preservatives, no gluten, no dairy, no artificial sweeteners, no artificial colors, no artificial flavors. Which is super awesome for people with food allergies, like me! Not only that, but each bottle is 12 oz, has 10 grams of protein, no added sugar, and contains 10 grams of collagen. Plus, you know I had to try all three flavors for you. Just to give you the best review, of course.

First I tried the flavor Blueberry Mint. I am a big fan of anything mint and was intrigued by the blueberry combo. Blueberry Mint is 60 calories and contains 3 grams of sugar and 4 carbs. Not only that, but it also contains 13% juice, which is actually the juice of 12 blueberries! My only thoughts on the flavor is that it is definitely peppermint oil and not the traditional “mint” flavor I was expecting. Overall, Blueberry Mint is refreshing and cooling, but my least favorite of the three.

Next up, Strawberry Lemon. Strawberry Lemon is a total classic and this one doesn’t disappoint. It was definitely the most “fruity” flavored of the three and contains 16% juice, which is actually the juice of 8 strawberries and 2 lemon slices. It also is 60 calories and has 3 grams of sugar and 4 grams of carbs. Although Strawberry Lemon was super yummy and tasted like strawberry spa water, I felt like there was a hint of a sweetened aftertaste.

Last but not least – Original. Surprisingly, Original was actually my favorite of the three flavors. Since I have had unflavored collagen powders before, I kind of assumed Original was the same as unflavored. However, I was very wrong! Original is actually lemon flavored. Honestly, it tastes like a lovely light lemon water or spa water. It is super refreshing and contains 5% juice which is actually the juice from 2 lemon slices. Original is 50 calories and has 1 gram of sugar and 2 grams of carbs.

Overall, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the three flavors. Plus, I love any opportunity to combine awesome beauty benefits, spa water, and hydration! What do you think? Are you on the collagen bandwagon? Let me know in the comments below!

XOXO,
Tiffany
