If I could only wear one makeup product for the rest of my life, it would be mascara. Of course I’ve mentioned this too many times to count by now. It was even in my 32 things about me post! But it still rings true. And don’t get it twisted, when I find a great mascara, I stick with it. In fact, over the past at least 5 years, I can honestly say I’ve only worn two different mascaras – Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye and Hourglass Caution Extreme Black. So when I got the chance to try the new Too Faced Damn Girl Mascara ($25) before it launched, I was skeptical.

First and foremost, I am absolutely NOT a fan of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. I find it flakey and I don’t like the brush, and it bleeds everywhere. Needless to say, I was even more concerned when I noticed how much the Damn Girl mascara wand looks like the Better Than Sex wand. However, the new kid on the block was here to prove me wrong.

With “whipped melting waxes”, the Damn Girl mascara goes on super smooth. It does an amazing job of separating your lashes and staying so even and not at all clumpy. One point for the new guy! It even builds nicely and gives you time to separate your lashes “just so” without sticking or messing up your look. My only complaint is that the brush feels very large. I wish it was slightly smaller to really get into the inner corner baby lashes and overall lash separation.

Another great pro for the Damn Girl Mascara is that it is a 24 hour formula that is smudge and flake resistant. It even lets you touch up your lashes and doesn’t seem to cause issues. Talk about going from day to night!

Not only did I try the new Damn Girl Mascara, but I also tried the Better Than Sex Eyeliner, Shadow Insurance, Chocolate Gold Palette, and the Melted Matte Lipstick. Even better, I turned it into a full review and tutorial video for you! Enjoy!

Note: In the video I said I loved the Better Than Sex Eyeliner. I wore it for several days and my opinion did not waver. However, I wore it over the weekend when my allergies were in peak form and it didn’t hold up its end of the bargain. My eyes were crazy watery and the eyeliner completely melted and bled all up into my eyeshadow. It was nuts. I no longer feel that the Better Than Sex Eyeliner is great and have returned to my beloved Kat Von D. Just keeping it real with you guys.
