Shop Pat McGrath Labs Matte Trance Lipstick:

Lately I have fallen in love with all things Pat McGrath. Of course I’ve already discussed my obsession with her Lust: Gloss and of course her statement making and enviable Lust 004. Everything she does is incredible. The quality is always amazing and the colors are just stunning. The amount of thought that goes into every PMG detail is mind blowing. Plus, almost all of her products come in sequin filled packaging. And as far as I’m concerned, that’s about as good as it gets. So, when I discovered the new Matte Trance Lipstick trios, I just had to test them out. Because what’s better than trying one new lipstick? Trying three new lipsticks!

There are two varieties of PMG Matte Trance Lipstick trios – Skinshow (Omi, 1995, Flesh 3) and Colour Blitz (Elson, Obsessed!, Full Panic). I chose Colour Blitz because I’m super picky about my neutrals and I don’t like anything with brown undertones. Not only that, but Colour Blitz has two shades of red and a hot pink, which are all right up my alley.

Since all colors had the same amazing formula, I’m just going to talk about it really quick right here and then my thoughts on each of the different color shades themselves below. The formula of each Matte Trance lipstick is so smooth and buttery and very easy to apply. With such a full coverage product, I didn’t feel like I had to keep applying to get great pigment. Although they are matte colors, they weren’t chalky or dry. Overall, the formula is very comfortable.

First up, Full Panic. Noted as “bright fuchsia”, this color totally lives up to its name. I absolutely love this shade of pink. Perfect for spring and summer, I can see this one being used a lot in the next few months.

Next, Obsessed! Described as a “bright orange red”, I wasn’t super excited about this one. I actually almost didn’t buy this trio because I am usually so against orange reds. However, I didn’t hate this as much as I thought I would! I think this shade would look really fantastic on someone with a more warm-toned complexion.

Finally, Elson. Listed as a “blue red”, I knew this one would be my jam. I am all about blue reds. And I was totally feeling this shade. As always, Mother didn’t disappoint!

Overall, I loved this Pat McGrath Matte Trance Lipstick Trio. Plus, with 3 mini lipsticks for $25, that’s way more fun than one lipstick for $38! Not feeling in a lipstick mood? You have to try this Lust: Gloss Trio mini lip gloss set. To be sure, PMG Lust Gloss is one of my absolute all time favorites (full review here).

XOXO,
Tiffany
