It’s no surprise I’m a super brand loyal person. For example, I’ve used Crest toothpaste – and only Crest toothpaste – for as long as I can remember. During my formative makeup experimentation years, one of my best friends was a MAC Cosmetics makeup artist. She taught me skills and techniques and even convinced me to leave my beloved powder foundation for the more nerve-wracking liquid kind. Subsequently, I was a MAC obsessed beauty junkie who would turn my nose up at any other brand. Many people know the quality of MAC eyeshadows. They are buttery, blend and wear well, and come in practically a zillion different colors. However, when I realized the Sephora Collection Eyeshadow line may be able to compete, my world was shook!

First, let’s talk about why I hadn’t tried the Sephora Collection Eyeshadow range before. I’m a snob. Of course there’s no hiding it. I’m a beauty purist and love a great name brand. Although Sephora Collection is CONSTANTLY challenging this belief. I am so in love with their makeup wipes and cream lip stains and I should have know better. With a total of 79 shades in their range, you’re sure to find a color you love. There is even the most amazing shade of blue called “Diving In” that I love for my favorite blue eyeshadow look.

One of my favorite things about the Sephora Collection Eyeshadow line is that they come ready to be de-potted. Complete with magnets and everything. You just pop the bottom off of the little pot and slide the shadow out and into your Z Palette. Or Sephora even has their own version of that as well! Personally, I think the Sephora version is even better than the Z Palettes and other brands I have used in the past. The magnets are super strong and it even comes complete with a mirror in the lid.

Of course, the true test is in quality, wear-ability, and blend-ability. I am so impressed with these eyeshadows. I know the selection I picked doesn’t really give you an incredible view of their range and full selection, but I was looking to fill holes in my current collection. And IMHO, it’s impressive that Sephora Collection had shades I felt I were missing considering my makeup addiction.

Overall, the mattes are matte, the shimmers are shimmery, and the glitters are oh so glittery. Oh my goodness so glittery. I can’t even do them justice. You have to see for yourself. Finally, at $8 a piece, I think the Sephora Collection Eyeshadow range is a fantastic option and won’t leave you disappointed. Even when compared to shadows at twice their price.

XOXO,
Tiffany
