Sometimes life gets tough. And when life gets tough, the tough go shopping. I’ve always loved the saying “Shopping is cheaper than a therapist.” While it’s very funny, I don’t think it’s true. I’m pretty sure shopping is more expensive. This month has been absolutely crazy. For only having 28 days, February sure packed a punch. Because February was so crazy, I decided to treat myself to some early birthday presents. Now, I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I consider myself a pretty good shopper. I can shop with the best of them. However, I had no idea some of the products I’ve bought lately would be so amazing.

The North Face Harway Heatseeker Water Resistant Jacket with Faux Fur Trim
Of course, the most practical thing I bought was a new winter coat. Every winter I wonder why I’ve never moved somewhere warmer. I don’t do well in the cold. Ick. Honestly, I just wanted a cute winter coat with a fur trim hood. However, what I got was the most amazing coat I have ever owned. When I opened the box, I thought I was going to be severely disappointed. It was so thin and light weight I thought for sure I would be returning it. To my surprise, it is so warm and comfortable. Even in below freezing temps, I am so warm and yet I feel like I’m wearing a lightweight spring jacket. I have no idea how they did it, but The North Face… You’re amazing.

Slipsilk Pink Kisses Pure Silk Pillowcase
Have you ever heard the old wives tale that you should sleep on a silk pillowcase? Well, I have. For most of my adult life I have tried different silk and satin pillowcases to try to protect my skin and hair. However, I was never willing to spend the money on a top tier silk pillowcase. But when I saw this new pink lips pillowcase from Slip, I just knew I had to try it. Not only is it freaking adorable, but it perfectly matches my bedroom decor. Oh, yeah, and that whole “good for your hair and skin” thing… But, I have to tell you, it’s honestly amazing. Even if the benefits are psychosomatic, it still makes me feel so luxurious and pampered every night. #worthit.

Diff Becky Sunglasses
A couple of months ago, my dad needed new glasses and called me for a fashion consult. Of course, as an on-call personal stylist to my family, I was happy to oblige. Off to the eye doctor we went! While there, I decided I also wanted new sunglasses. I can’t let my dad be the most stylish one in the family! Diff sunglasses have always caught my eye, so when I found out they were available at Nordstrom with free shipping and free returns, I was all in. First I tried the Ruby, since that is my usual go-to classic cat eye vibe. But they were way too wide on my head. Then I discovered the Becky and I absolutely love them. They are a bit edgier and have more of an unexpected fashion twist.

Pilot Frixion Erasable Gel Pens
Last but not least, the coolest pens I’ve ever seen. These are actual pens that are truly erasable. Not like those ones we used to have in school that either left behind stuff or just smudged everywhere. Really. Truly. Erasable. It shouldn’t surprise anyone, but I love a good color coded calendar. And with these pens, I can color code anything I want! Doctor appointment got moved? Got it! Meeting got rescheduled? Got that too! Personal, work, and kids activities all on the same calendar? Check, check, and check thanks to this multi-colored set!
Has anyone else done any quality retail therapy lately? Comment below if there are other products I should check out!
Here’s to hoping March is an amazing (and less expensive) month!
XOXO,
