Reviewing beauty products is one of my favorite things. I love putting new products to the test and seeing if they’re really all they’re cracked up to be. When heard about Frenchies hair pins, I wasn’t sure what to expect. How could these hair pins be any different than regular ones? Surprisingly, they are!
Of course, Frenchies hair pins are essentially just flocked hair pins. Notably, they come in several hair colors – including blonde, brown, black, and red. The magic of these hair pins is how well they hold. To put this to the test, I wanted to see how much I could do with my hair with only one pin. Generally, my hair has very little texture. It is just straight and smooth and doesn’t do much else. So, I thought pulling my hair back with only one pin was sure to end this experiment. However, it didnt! I was able to secure my hair “half up, half down” with just one pin! Shocking. But, halfway through my trip to the grocery store, I tried to adjust the pin and I couldn’t get it secured properly again. Serves me right for messing with it!
Next up, curly hair. When curled, my hair has a ton more texture. So, I thought this would give the Frenchies hair pins a little more to work with. I was right. These pins secured my hair in the same “half up, half down” look with very little effort. Totally adding one of these little guys to every handbag I own for emergencies!
Finally, the Frenchies hair pins face the daunting task of an updo! You guys. I am shook! A messy bun with only ONE hair pin?! What kind of sorcery is this? Obviously, I can’t go for a run or do yoga with this bun. (Kidding – we all know I’m not going for a run anyway!) But it’s totally perfect for running errands, or that stressful day at the office where you just need to pull up your hair and get sh*t done.
The flexibility to pull my hair up at a moment’s notice with one hair pin finally allows me to ditch the pony tail holder that is permanently around my wrist. My mom will be so happy. I also love that these hair pins are virtually invisible. That gives your hair a more natural and effortless look. Like your hair is magic and just does that on its own. Who wouldn’t want magic princess hair? Plus, you never know when you’ll need to pick a lock or MacGyver something with your handy hair pin.
